This flightless bird, once native to Mauritius, had a stout body, small wings, and a large hooked beak. It became extinct in the late 17th century due to human activity and introduced animals.
 
This is a high quality resin replica of a real specimen housed in the collections of National Museum in Prague. The animal was kept live in Prague for a short period in early 17th century.
